Regarding Vacation Rentals:

Tourism is essential for the Mexican economy, representing 8.7% of GDP. The rental of vacation apartments, especially in destinations such as Cancun and Tulum, has experienced significant growth, with a 25% increase in income compared to 2022. Profits in Quintana Roo reached 16,124 million pesos in 2021, reflecting a 15% increase in foreign visitors during the first quarter of this year.

The reasons that make this activity a safe business include the constant growth of tourism, the use of digital tools such as Airbnb, flexibility for guests, diversification of investment opportunities and the control of owners over their properties. Additional growth in tourism to Cancun and Quintana Roo is expected in 2024, driven by the opening of the Tulum airport and the Mayan Train.
